Leave Entitlements

1. Annual Leave:


Entitlement: Employees are entitled to annual leave once they have worked for at least three months. The standard entitlement starts at 7 days for the first year of service and increases annually up to 14 days for most employees.

Accrual: Leave typically accrues on a monthly basis after the employee completes three months of service.


2. Sick Leave:


Entitlement: If an employee has served for at least three months, they are entitled to paid outpatient sick leave and hospitalization leave. The entitlement is up to 14 days of outpatient sick leave and up to 60 days of hospitalization leave per year, including the 14 days of outpatient sick leave.

Medical Certification: Sick leave must be certified by the company's doctor or a government doctor to be eligible for paid leave.


3. Maternity Leave:


Entitlement: Eligible female employees are entitled to 16 weeks of maternity leave for the first two children, and the same entitlement applies for the third and subsequent children.

Criteria: Various criteria apply, including the child’s citizenship and the mother’s length of service.


4. Paternity Leave:


Entitlement: Eligible fathers are entitled to 2 weeks of paternity leave, funded by the government.

Eligibility: Criteria include the child’s citizenship and the father’s length of service.


5. Childcare Leave:


Entitlement: Parents of children below the age of 7 are entitled to 6 days of childcare leave per year if they have served the employer for at least 3 months.


6. Shared Parental Leave:


Fathers may share up to 4 weeks of the mother’s 16 weeks of maternity leave, subject to eligibility criteria.


7. Adoption Leave:


Eligible adoptive mothers are entitled to 12 weeks of adoption leave.
