Working on a Rest Day: If an employee works on a rest day, they are entitled to one day's salary at the basic rate of pay, or compensation in lieu, depending on the agreement and the duration of work.
3. Public Holidays:
Number of Public Holidays: Employees are entitled to 11 public holidays in a year. If a public holiday falls on a rest day, the next working day is a paid holiday.
Work on Public Holidays: If an employee is required to work on a public holiday, they are entitled to an extra day’s salary at the basic rate of pay or a substitute holiday.
